Update!

Hi, book lovers! I am reading many books that I am super excited to do reviews on!!  Right now, I'm reading Never Fade, by Alexandra Bracken, Scarlet, by Marissa Meyer, and Every Day, by David Levithan.  I have put a hold on The Host because it is more than 600 pages and I would rather read that by itself. Sadly, I have already seen the movie, but I have been told that the ending is not the same so I am excited for that! You can be expecting a review for Never Fade soon since I am almost done with it. After that I will most likely do a review on Scarlet, but since it is the second book, I am going to think about it. I am going to read The Mortal Instruments series soon, but since it is a very popular book, I will not be doing a review on it. :( I am reading the Lux Series (by Jennifer L. Armentrout) again soon so you can expect a review for that. :D Another book I am reading again is the Embrace series, by Jessica Shirvington!!
I am super excited about the upcoming Fallen movie that is coming to theaters on July 30!! It is based on the book by Lauren Kate! I hope it is as good as the book!! That is all, Bookworms!

Book Review #3-The Darkest Minds

By: Alexandra Bracken

Hiya, everybody! Right now I am currently reading Never Fade, by Alexandra Bracken, The Host, by Stephenie Meyer, and Every Day, by David Levithan!

Summary (from the book cover):
When Ruby woke up on her tenth birthday, something about her had changed. Something alarming enough to make her parents lock her in the garage and call the police. Something that gets her sent to Thurmond, a brutal government “rehabilitation camp.” She might have survived the mysterious disease that’s killed most of America’s children, but she and the others have emerged with something far worse: frightening abilities they cannot control.

Now sixteen, Ruby is one of the dangerous ones.

When the truth comes out, Ruby barely escapes Thurmond with her life. Now she’s on the run, desperate to find the one safe haven left for kids like her—East River. She joins a group of kids who escaped their own camp. Liam, their brave leader, is falling hard for Ruby. But no matter how much she aches for him, Ruby can’t risk getting close. Not after what happened to her parents.

When they arrive at East River, nothing is as it seems, least of all its mysterious leader. But there are other forces at work, people who will stop at nothing to use Ruby in their fight against the government. Ruby will be faced with a terrible choice, one that may mean giving up her only chance at a life worth living.

My opinion:
This book was interesting in a weird way. Obviously this book will (hopefully) never become a reality, but you never know. Haha, I'm just kidding. ;)
"Don't be scared. Don't let them see."
This is from Ruby's old friend, Sam, that kept her going throughout the book.  I love how the world has kind of become what I would picture as a run-down apocalyptic planet.. Ruby's character is like a lot of other characters in other books. She doesn't want to get people around her hurt, and she thinks it would be best to not get close to anybody. Warning! The ending is a little sad.. :(
I would recommend this to people who like science fiction related books.

Comment if you're going to read this book! You won't regret it! :)

I am still writing a review for The Darkest Minds, by Alexandra Bracken. At the moment I am reading Never Fade, by Alexandra Bracken, which is the second book in The Darkest Minds trilogy. I am so excited about this trilogy!! I can't wait to see how the story develops!

Book Review #2-Shatter Me

By: Tahereh Mafi

Ahhhh! I loved this book!! I read it a few weeks ago but I couldn't wait to read the second and third book!! It was that good..

Summary (from the book cover):
No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal, but the Reestablishment has plans for her. Plans to use her as a weapon. But Juliette has plans of her own. After a lifetime without freedom, she's finally discovering a strength to fight back for the very first time-and to find a future with the one boy she thought she'd lost forever.

My opinion:
Wow. Just wow. First off, Juliette's character is so realistic! I love the way Tahereh Mafi writes from Juliette's point of view in the form of a journal. It makes it way more relatable than many other books. This book is a really good example of someone finding their true potential. The cover of the book says:

"My touch is lethal. My touch is power."

The part that has been crossed out is, obviously, the beginning, and the regular text is when she truly realizes what she is capable of doing.
I think that explains what I mean by "finding their true potential."

The plot's pace never lets you down, so unless you don't like the way the story is going, you will not want to do anything until you finish this book. The second and third book get even better and there are so many great things that happen in this trilogy!! By the time you get done with the trilogy you will be so miserable. Not because of the ending, but because there are no more books to read in the series. :) I hope you read this book!! You will not regret it!

Follow & Feature!

Have you ever read a book you thought you’d hate but loved? Or vice versa?

Definitely yes! The worst was Thirteen Reasons Why, by Jay Asher.

I tried copying the picture, but the computer would not cooperate.. Follow me via GFC!

...

I am now reading three books at a time! City of Ashes, Never Fade, AND Wolfsbane... Don't worry, there will still be a review coming up, it just might take a little longer. Probably about 1-2 days depending on how long it takes me to finish Wolfsbane.

Book Review #1-Origin

By: Jessica Khoury

Hiya, everybody! This is my first book review, as you can probably see from the title, and I'm super excited about this blog!! The first book I will be reviewing is Origin, by Jessica Khoury!

Summary (from the book cover):
Pia has always known her destiny. She is meant to start a new race, a line of descendants who will bring an end to death. She has been bred for no other purpose, genetically engineered to be immortal and raised by a team of scientists in a secret compound hidden deep in the Amazon rainforest. Now those scientists have begun to challenge her, with the goal of training her to carry on their dangerous work.
For as long as she can remember, Pia's greatest desire has been to fulfill their expectations. But on the night she turns seventeen, she finds a hole in the seemingly impenetrable fence that surrounds her home. Free in the jungle for the first time in her life, Pia meets Eio, a boy from a nearby village. Unable to resist, she continues sneaking out to see him. As they fall in love, they begin to piece together the truth about Pia's origin-a truth with deadly consequences that will change their lives forever.

My opinion:
I loved this book! I was a little unsure about it at first, but my friend kept telling me to read it so I decided to give it a go! I loved how it got right into the story in the beginning. It takes a little time to understand what the setting is and what exactly is going on in there, but you eventually get it. It has an amazing story, and many different unexpected things happen! I loved Pia's character and how much it change throughout the book! The characters are very realistic. The plot was not slow at all, but at times I would get kind of bored. I gave this book five stars because it was an amazing story and had a very unexpected yet great ending! I'm so excited to read the other books in this series even though they are not a part of Pia's story!!
I would definitely recommend this to people who like Science Fiction!

"Sooner or later, we must all face eternity."
